Additional training completed with the Fertility Nutrition Centre
I worked as an occupational therapist in the NHS for 15 years, with people who suffered from a wide range of chronic illness. But when diagnosed with Adenomyosis and secondary infertility I threw myself into nutrition and lifestyle research with a hope to resolve my issues naturally. After a few years I felt overwhelmed by all the information, I was spending a lot of money on unnecessary supplements and treatments. I went to see a Nutritional Therapist who helped me identify nutrient deficiencies in my diet and an underlying health concern that my GP had missed. With adjustments to my diet and lifestyle I was able to reverse all hormonal symptoms which resulted in a healthy pregnancy to complete my family.
Once my little boy was born I enrolled at Londons College of Naturopathic Nutrition to train as a registered Nutritional Therapist. My motivation to help others make these changes and complete their family is very close to my heart.
With a personal understanding of the physical, emotional and financial cost my clients go through I strive to provide expert services. To ensure my clients receive evidence based, effective care, I also completed an additional years training at the Fertility Nutrition Centre with Sandra Greenbank. I am the only Fertility Nutritionist in Northern Ireland to have completed this course.
